Auto-Wiring

AI-powered intelligent connection suggestions based on product ports and protocols.

How Auto-Wiring Works

Auto-wiring uses AI to determine how equipment should be connected:

  1. Analyzes connection metadata for each device
  2. Understands signal flow direction (inputs → processing → outputs)
  3. Matches compatible ports and protocols
  4. Suggests optimal cable types
  5. Validates connections for compatibility

Port Compatibility

The system understands port compatibility rules:

  • HDMI → HDMI, HDBaseT (with converter)
  • Dante → Dante, AES67 (compatible)
  • USB-C → USB-C, USB-A (with adapter)
  • XLR → XLR, TRS (balanced audio)

Signal Flow Logic

Auto-wiring follows logical signal flow:

  • Inputs - Microphones, cameras, content sources
  • Processing - DSPs, matrices, switchers, control systems
  • Outputs - Displays, speakers, amplifiers, recording

Reviewing Connections

After auto-wiring generates suggestions:

  1. Review proposed connections
  2. Modify or remove incorrect connections
  3. Add manual connections if needed
  4. Regenerate schematic with updated wiring

Cable Recommendations

Auto-wiring suggests appropriate cable types:

  • HDMI cables - For HDMI connections
  • CAT6/6A - For Dante, HDBaseT, control
  • XLR cables - For balanced analog audio
  • USB cables - For USB connections (type specified)
Review Required

Always review auto-wiring suggestions. AI may not understand all system requirements or custom configurations. Use as a starting point, not final design.
