State Indicators

A quick reference for the badges, pills, banners, and link states that tell you where a project stands.

Version Pill

At the top of any project's Details page. Shows the current version's name and color-codes its status:

  • Yellow — Draft — editable, no contract yet.
  • Green — Contracted — signed; edits go through Change Orders.
  • Gray — Archived — read-only history.

Estimate Status Badges

Inside the Generate Estimate modal, every saved estimate carries its status both in the dropdown and in the detail panel header:

  • [APPROVED] — this is the estimate that became the Contract.
  • [VOIDED] — this estimate was approved at one point but has since been voided. It's permanently dead.
  • No prefix — a saved estimate that has never been approved.

Drift Banner

A yellow warning banner at the top of a Contracted project's Details page. It appears only when one or more Approved Change Orders have applied to the project, and it tells you how many. The presence of the banner is the signal that the project's current total has diverged from the signed contract amount.

Public Signed URL State

When you share an approved estimate via its public signed URL, the link is good as long as the estimate is still Approved. After a void, the same URL returns 410 Gone with a "no longer valid" message — the customer can't accidentally see stale content, and they know to ask for an updated link.

Quick scan

When you open a project, the version pill (top of the page) plus the drift banner (just below it, when present) tell you everything you need to know about the project's contract status in one glance.
