Executive Summary

Generate professional executive summaries for AV installations using AI. Transform your equipment list into clear, technical narratives suitable for client proposals.

About the Output

This feature uses a fine-tuned AI model trained on AV specification documents. The output is direct, professional language written for executives and decision-makers who need to understand what equipment is being installed and why — without part numbers or detailed specs.

What's Included (and What's Not)

The summary describes equipment purpose, placement, and capabilities at a high level. Detailed model numbers, technical specifications, and part numbers are intentionally excluded — that information belongs in equipment schedules and spec sheets.

Quick Start

  1. Open a project with rooms and equipment
  2. Click Actions > Executive Summary
  3. Select which rooms to include
  4. Click Generate Summary
  5. Copy to clipboard or download as Word document

What You Get

The AI generates a professional narrative describing your installation:

  • Room-by-room sections - Each room gets its own paragraph
  • Category groupings - Equipment organized by your dividers (Audio, Video, Control, etc.)
  • Technical details - Mount types, configurations, and capabilities
  • Professional grammar - Proper quantity matching ("A display will be..." vs "Two displays will be...")

Getting Better Results

The summary quality depends on your product data. Products with only Make/Model produce generic summaries. For detailed, accurate output, enrich your products first.

With Enriched Data

"A 75" 4K display will be wall-mounted using an articulating wall display mount with a dual swing arm. The mounting system will include a large in-wall swing arm accessory to achieve a low-profile, ADA-compliant installation. A proximity component storage panel and a spacer kit will be included to support the installation."

How to Enrich Products

  1. Go to Products
  2. Select products you use frequently
  3. Click Enrich with AI
  4. The system researches each product and adds technical specs, mounting options, and use cases

This is a one-time effort per product. Once enriched, all future summaries using that product will have better detail.

Options

Room Selection

Choose which rooms to include. You can generate a summary for the entire project or just specific rooms.

Temperature

Controls how varied the AI's writing style is:

  • 0.3 (default) - Consistent, predictable phrasing. Best for technical proposals.
  • 0.5 - 0.7 - More varied sentence structure
  • 0.8+ - Most creative, but may produce unexpected results

For most users, the default (0.3) works best.

Export Options

  • Copy to Clipboard - Paste directly into emails or documents
  • Download as Word - Get a .docx file for further editing

Credits

You get 3 free executive summaries to try the feature. After that, each summary costs a flat 10 credits regardless of project size. The exact cost displays after generation.

Tips
  • Use dividers to organize equipment into categories - they become section headers in the summary
  • Always review AI output before sending to clients
  • Regenerate if needed - each generation can produce slightly different results
