Global Defaults

Configure default rates and settings that apply to all new projects.

How Defaults Work

Global defaults are automatically applied when you create a new project. Existing projects are not affected.

Configuring Defaults

1. Go to Settings
2. Find the Global Project Configuration section
3. Adjust values as needed
4. Changes auto-save immediately

Available Settings

Labor Rates

• Labor Rate - Cost per hour for installation labor
• Labor Sell - Billable rate per hour
• Union Rate - Union labor rate (if applicable)

Programming & Configuration

• Programming Rate / Sell / Markup % - Control system programming
• Configuration Rate / Sell / Markup % - Device setup labor

Markups

• Equipment Markup % - Markup on equipment cost
• AV Drawings % - Documentation percentage
• Project Management % - PM overhead

Cabling Defaults

• CAT6 STP In-Room Hours - Labor for shielded cable
• CAT6 STP In-Room Qty - Default quantity
• CAT6 UTP In-Room Hours - Labor for unshielded cable
• CAT6 UTP From-IDF Hours - Labor for IDF runs

Cost Rates

• Schematics Cost Rate - Per-unit schematic cost
• Shipping Cost Rate - Shipping calculation rate
• Project Management Cost Rate - PM rate

Tax & Shipping

• Tax Rate % - Default tax percentage
• Shipping % - Shipping as percentage of equipment
