Copy Equipment List

Once you've placed your equipment, you can generate a bill of materials to share with your team or include in proposals.

  1. Click Copy Equip in the ribbon's OBJECTS group
  2. The formatted list is copied to your clipboard
  3. Paste it into Word, Excel, emails, or any document

The list groups items by category, counts duplicates, and shows mount heights. If you have multiple units of the same model at different heights (e.g., three speakers at 8', 9', and 10'), it lists all the heights so nothing is missed.

Session Persistence

All work is automatically saved to browser session storage:

  • Persisted: Floor plan image, scale calibration, all objects, viewpoint settings, ceiling height
  • Annotation defaults: The Text size and Label size from LAYERS are saved with the floor plan when you click Save, not in the browser session
  • Auto-restore: Navigate away and return - your work reappears
  • Duration: Lasts until browser tab/window is closed
  • Privacy: Data stays in your browser, never transmitted to server

Best Practices

  • Calibration: Use the longest available dimension for accuracy
  • Zoom: Zoom in for precise point placement
  • Shift Snap: Use Shift for straight measurements and aligned viewpoints
  • High Resolution: Upload high-quality images for better precision
  • Object Labels: Use the PROPERTIES palette to identify objects (displayed on hover/selection)
