Custom Title Block

Build a library of your own title blocks, set one as your company default, and let each project inherit it, override it, or fall back to the standard AVstackr block.

Build your template library

Open the library from Global Config → Title Block → Open template library, or head straight to /drawing-measure/title-block. It lists every title block you've created, with the one set as your company default marked Company default.

  1. Click New template, give it a name, and upload a PDF or PNG of your title-block strip — your artwork with its fixed text (firm name, logo, headings) baked in and the value areas left blank.
  2. Click Create & edit to open the composer for the new template.
  3. Back in the library, each row has Edit, Rename, Set as default, and Delete.

Design a template

The composer is where you place your project fields onto the uploaded artwork:

  1. Open the FIELDS panel and click a field — Project, Dwg #, Sheet #, Drawn By, and so on — to drop it on the strip. Drag to position and resize each box.
  2. Use the toolbar to set a field's Align and Font, or Rotate it 90° for vertical text.
  3. Need something the standard fields don't cover? Add a Free Text field — each gets a numbered tag you fill in per project — or drop a multi-line block: Rev Table, Gen Notes, or Const Notes.
  4. Watch the Live Preview on the right to see the block on a full sheet, then click Save.
Leave the values blank

Bake only the fixed text and graphics into your uploaded image and leave the value spaces empty — the fields you place fill in those blanks at export time.

Set your company default

In Global Config → Title Block, pick a template from the Company default template dropdown. Every project that hasn't chosen its own block uses this one on its drawing, schematic, and multi-view sheet exports. Choose Standard AVstackr block to send inheriting projects back to the built-in block.

Choose a title block per project

On a project's Edit page, the Title block dropdown decides which block that project exports with:

  • Inherit company default — follows whatever you've set as the company default; the option shows the default's name in parentheses so you know what it resolves to.
  • Standard AVstackr block — always the built-in block, even when a company default is set.
  • A specific template — pins this project to that exact block, regardless of the company default.
Pinned projects keep their block

Delete a template that projects are pinned to and it's archived rather than removed — those projects keep rendering the exact block they always have, shown as (archived) in their dropdown. A template no project pins is deleted outright; if it was your company default, projects set to inherit fall back to the standard block.
